Who is responsible

Information used to provide our service

When you place an order or contact us, we process the information you supply, such as your name, email, billing and delivery addresses, order details and correspondence. Payment providers process payment information. Our store platform also processes technical information, such as browser details and network identifiers, to deliver and secure the service.

If you order a personalised print, the image, text and details you submit are used to prepare that print. Please share only information needed for the design and ensure you have permission to submit information about other people. The local design preview on our customisation pages processes its image in your browser; selecting a file for preview alone does not submit an order or send the image to our production provider.

Purposes and legal grounds

We use order information to perform our contract with you, respond to support requests and arrange delivery. We retain records where required by accounting and other laws. We process necessary security and fraud-prevention information for our legitimate interest in protecting the store and its customers. Where consent is required for optional marketing or tracking, it must be obtained separately and can be withdrawn.

Service providers

Shopify hosts our store and supports checkout. When an order is sent for production, Gelato and the relevant production and delivery providers receive the information needed to fulfil it, including the print file and delivery details. Other recipients may include payment processors and professional advisers where necessary. Shopify may also process information for its own purposes as explained in its consumer privacy policy. Retention and international processing

We keep information for the period needed to fulfil orders, resolve enquiries and disputes, and meet legal record-keeping obligations. The applicable period depends on the record and purpose. Providers may process information outside your country. Where European data protection law requires it, transfers must use a recognised adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data.

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your data, restriction of processing or object to processing. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Some requests are subject to legal exceptions, including required records. Email info@storboden.se; we may need to verify your identity before acting. We do not charge for ordinary rights requests.

EU residents can complain to their local data protection authority or Sweden’s IMY. Canadian and US residents may also have rights under their applicable provincial, territorial, state or federal laws, including rights concerning consent, access and correction. Contact us to exercise them or raise a concern. Nothing here limits those rights.

Cookies

Shopify uses cookies and similar technology for storefront functions such as keeping a cart and maintaining a secure session. Optional analytics and advertising processing depends on the services enabled and applicable consent requirements. Browser controls can remove or block cookies, although some store functions may then be unavailable.
